kool g rap & dj polo - road to riches

it is hard to imagine that a legend like kool g rap has never went gold or anywhere near it.... just think....eric b hooked him up with dj polo, marley marl produced his shit, he was a member of the infamous juice crew, sir jinx of ice cube's lench mob produced his 3rd album, the large professor contributed beats for his 2nd album, he was sampled by bbd for their smash hit "poison", he was on the first posse cut ever (the symphony with big daddy kane-master ace and marley marl) he continues to drop material to this day, but all that doesn't make him a legend right?, how about this.... one night during their performance the late great big pun and fat joe spotted nathaniel wilson (aka. kool g rap) in attendance in the audience and big pun called him to the stage where he knelt down and kissed the hand of the man known as "the kool genious of rap", also known for bringin into the world of hip hop a young video vixen known by the name of kerrine steffans who in late 90's and early 2000's till now would be widely recognized as "the groupie for the hip hop stars" for fucking so many of them....yes you guessed it "superhead"...(but enough about her we're talking g rap here) this is the 1st album by g rap & his dj (dj polo who persued a acting carrer as a porn star when the group called it quits)...check this: I had a friend who would not listen to west coast hip hop at all because he said they had no lyrics that compete with new york so everything he bumped was east coast, one day I brought a new tape by a east coast rapper and threw it in the tape deck pressed play & bumped it, can you believe he told me he liked the beats but not the rapper who he took to be west coast ? you guessed it this is that album, a classic by any means.
